Canon TX-20 Full Auto Tonometer

Description

The Canon TX-20 is a non-contact, fully automatic tonometer for measuring intraocular pressure in optometry and ophthalmology practices and screening programs. In full auto mode, the operator presses Start and the unit aligns and measures both eyes.

Canon's brochure lists auto and manual modes as well, a motorized joystick, a high-IOP warning with a user-set threshold, and a built-in printer with auto cutter. The unit stores up to 10 measurements and has RS-232C data output. The published IOP measurement range is 0 to 60 mmHg. When a reading fails, the display shows an image of the eye with the error, so the operator can correct alignment.
