SciCan STATIM 2000 Cassette Autoclave

Description

The SciCan STATIM 2000 is a compact cassette autoclave for dental handpieces and small instrument loads. Instead of a fixed chamber it uses a removable stainless steel cassette, which heats and cools quickly and can be carried to the chair or procedure room once a cycle ends.

SciCan lists an internal cassette size of 11 x 7 x 1.5 in, and three cycles: unwrapped at 135°C (about 6 minutes in total), wrapped at 135°C (about 14 minutes) and rubber/plastic at 121°C (about 20 minutes). Drying times are extra, and cycle times vary with the load and the supply voltage. The unit uses single-use distilled water from a 4 L reservoir and runs on 110–120 V.
