Description
The Sysmex XN-550 is the sampler model of the compact XN-L series, built for hospital, clinic and private labs that run a moderate number of CBCs a day. It gives a full CBC with a 5-part white cell differential and immature granulocyte (IG) count, using the same fluorescence flow cytometry and cyanide-free SLS hemoglobin method as Sysmex's larger XN analyzers.
Sysmex quotes up to 60 samples an hour in whole blood mode, from a 25 µL aspiration, with an automated sampler that takes open and closed tubes and supports continuous loading and automatic rerun and reflex. Reticulocyte and body fluid modes are optional licences, so the parameters available depend on how a unit is configured.
